1957. Borned and works in Lisbon. Attended the School of Fine Arts Lisbon. Designer and illustrator since 1980. In 1990 founds his own studio. Has written about design, commissioned exhibitions, lectures and juries in Portugal and abroad. Professor in ARCO between 1995 and 2001 is, since 2004, visiting professor at the University of Aveiro. President of the Portuguese Centre of Design and member of the board's Bureau of European Design Associations.
